Who we are
Camp EZ (also known as Camp Easy) is a small campground and vintage RV stay in Austin, Texas. This Privacy Policy applies to the campground and to our website, https://campez.us. In this policy, “Camp EZ”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Camp EZ.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, make a reservation or stay with us, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using our website or making a reservation, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you make a reservation or contact us, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, the dates of your stay, the number of guests, and any notes or requests you include.
Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Your card number and other payment details are entered on Stripe’s secure form and sent directly to Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive a confirmation of payment and limited details such as the amount, date and the last four digits of the card.
Comments. If you leave a comment on our website, we collect the information in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We also use cookies as described below.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- process and manage your reservation, including taking payment, issuing refunds and keeping booking records;
- send you confirmations, reminders, check-in details and other messages about your stay by email or text message;
- answer your questions and respond to requests;
- keep our guests, residents, animals and property safe, and enforce our Park Rules;
- run and improve our website, and protect it against spam and abuse;
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your phone number when you make a reservation, we will use it to send text messages about that reservation only, such as confirmations, reminders and arrival information. You may also exchange text messages directly with the Park Host about your stay. We will not send you marketing text messages.
Message and data rates may apply. You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by contacting us using the details below. Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business, and only with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf, including Stripe (payments), our text-message provider, our website hosting provider and email services. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Comment and spam services. An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service to see if you have a Gravatar profile picture. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Comments may also be checked by an automated spam detection service.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Camp EZ, our guests or others.
- Business transfers. If the campground is sold or transferred, guest records may be transferred to the new owner as part of that transaction.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Our website uses only a few cookies:
- If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies so you do not have to enter them again. These cookies last for one year.
- Our booking calendar and payment form may use cookies that are needed for the reservation and checkout process to work.
- If you log in to the website (site administrators only), login and screen-setting cookies are used. Login cookies last for two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”, and are removed when you log out.
We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the website, such as booking, may not work properly without them.
Embedded content from other websites
Pages on our website may include embedded content such as videos, images or maps from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with that content.
How long we keep your information
We keep reservation and payment records for as long as needed to provide your stay and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Comments and their related information are kept until they are removed, so that follow-up comments can be approved automatically. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable measures to protect your personal information, including secure (HTTPS) connections on our website and a payment processor that handles card data. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. To make a request, contact us at info@campez.us. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. We may keep some information when we are required to by law or need it for legitimate business purposes, such as tax records.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws. We will honor those rights as required by law.
Children’s privacy
Our website and reservation services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Reservations must be made by an adult, who should include any children in the guest count. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our website may link to other websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
